Come and find Anyone Can in the accessibility zone, an inclusive adventure company specialising in adapting outdoor sports so everyone can join in the fun. We specialise in inclusive Canoeing, Sailing, Climbing and expeditions. During the festival we will be running accessible climbing and canoeing, along with our friends from able2adventure who will be offering pack rafting.

We will be easy to spot with our ‘camp spot’ set up to show how we making our Expeditions inclusive from our porta loo, tipi tent to most importantly a camp fire to come and warm up by and chat to us!

We are British Canoeing, the national governing body for paddlesports in the UK.

We want to support and provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and realise their potential within all aspects of canoeing regardless of their age, background or ability.

Padde-Ability:

British Canoeing use the term Paddle-Ability to refer to all activity for disabled people, be it specialist activity or as part of mainstream opportunities. The term Paddle-Ability focuses on a person’s ability to take part in paddlesport rather than their disability.

Paddle-Ability sessions enable disabled people to take part in activity with other disabled people as part of a club or groups specifically for disabled people or, more frequently, alongside their non-disabled friends and family.

SPECIALIST OUTDOOR ADVENTURE STAYS

If you’re looking for a fun filled outdoor adventure experience then look no further. We’re the experts in offering outdoor adventure to all, with our adapted equipment and specialist knowledge, offering an experience like no other to people with disabilities and their friends & family.

Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK) is an adaptive snowsports charity. We believe that taking part in adaptive snowsport has the power to transform a person’s relationship with their disability. We are committed to enabling people living with a disability to redefine their relationship with not just the snow, but with all aspects of their lives.

For over 40 years, DSUK have been helping to bring the unique physical and mental health benefits of snowsports to anybody regardless of disability, injury or experience.

We operate ski schools at various locations throughout the UK as well as delivering opportunities to ski and snowboard in a mountain environment worldwide. We are supported by a fantastic team of highly-qualified adaptive instructors as well as a brilliant network of passionate and skilled volunteers. Together, we work to ensure that everybody has the opportunity to access snowsport.

Experience Community is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that helps people access the Great British Countryside through providing route films and walking and cycling activities. Our work is led by people with physical disabilities to ensure that our activities are as suitable for as many people as possible, whether they have a disability or not. People who have mobility problems can hire our all-terrain wheelchairs, called Mountain Trikes, for our walking activities and we also have a wide range of adapted bikes including off-road handcycles, KMX Karts and electric assist equipment such as ICE Trikes for our cycling events.

Making Amazing Places Accessible

We are bringing our Tramper, an all-terrain mobility scooter, to the Accessibility Village at the 2022 Keswick Mountain Festival. Come and take a look and find out where you can hire one of our Trampers.

Visit our website to become a Lake District Mobility member and hire our Trampers at selected outdoor attractions in the Lake District and further afield.

Discover a new Freedom. Triride is a power assisted attachment device (Power Trike) for your wheelchair. Through the city or the mountains Triride is always with you, designed and built by a user, the driving performance and features are unmatched by any other add-on device.

We specialise in developing the most functional electronic devices for enabling our users to move with independence. With a Power Trike or a power assisted handcycle, Triride has a solution that will help you discover a new freedom!

United Utilities is responsible for water and wastewater services in the North West of England. Our purpose is to provide great water and more for the North West.

We deliver 1.8 billion litres of water a day to more than 3 million homes and businesses in the North West, as well as treating all the wastewater which disappears around the U-bend.

Keeping the region flowing relies on a vast behind the scenes operation, involving hundreds of reservoirs, treatment works and pumping stations; thousands of kilometres of water pipes and sewers and a 5,000 strong workforce.

Want to know more about it? Please see our website.

Visit Lake District, Cumbria is the official tourism board for the Lake District, Cumbria. We can help to give ideas on what to do and where to visit during your stay; from attractions and activities to food and drink and even where to stay if you are visiting Cumbria again. During the festival, we will also be showcasing our new accessibility programme and visitor information in partnership with Accessible Cumbria and United Utilities. If you live or work in Cumbria, you will also be able to find out about our MyCumbria Card initiative giving access to a range of offers throughout the county.
