Joe’s Giants is a free mental health walking charity. It was set up in memory of Joe Johnson (22) who unfortunately had taken his own life in 2017 after suffering from mental health issues. Joe, originally from Southport, had spent many adventures visiting his family in Cumbria and had a passion about the outdoors, and he went on to be an outdoor instructor. The primary aim of the charity is to reconnect people with the outdoors, promoting the benefits it plays on our lives physically and mentally. Joe’s Giants run by the motto ‘climb your mind’ and believe ‘If you can reach the peak of a mountain, you can reach the peak of a problem’.
