Mountain Trike Ramble | Experience Community | On Sunday & Saturday at 11.00am try a Mountain Trike on a 3 mile traffic-free ramble at the Keswick Mountain Festival. There will be different types of Mountain Trikes for people to use including the standard version, Evo, Push and eTrike. Equipment will be allocated on a first come first served basis and over 16s only. |
Wildlife Walks | Cumbria Biodiversity Centre | Wildlife Walks will explore the life around the lake - both large and small. |
Tent Talks | Keswick Mountain Festival | Come and be inspired in our Tent Talks sessions. Full schedule of speakers to be confirmed. |
Army virtual tank driving | British Army | Come and take a virtual drive in an army tank via the VAR headsets. |
Segway course | Go Ape, Whinlatter | The KMF segway course will test your skills and offer a new perspective. Weight restrictions Between 45kg and 125kg. |
Orienteering Maze | West Cumbria Orienteering Club | Test your map reading skills in the orienteering maze. |
Bike Pump Track | Bike Traxx | Take a blast around the pump track on a mountain bike - bikes for kids are provided. |
Stand Up Paddleboarding | Red Paddle Co | Red Paddle Co will be hosting paddle board sessions on the lake for all abilities. Simply bring your swimwear for underneath a wetsuit and come by our stand to book on. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. |
Canoeing | Newlands | Come and try canoeing on Derwentwater. Our instructor will give a land based introduction to the skills needed for you to be able to control your canoe. Once happy its onto the Lake and the fun really begins! From exploring an island to playing games every session is different and will be catered to your abilities! One thing is for sure, you will leave the Lake with a big smile on your face! Canoeing is one of our more relaxing sessions but still ultimately rewarding! |
Climbing Wall | Keswick Climbing Wall / Newlands | The state of the art mobile wall is 6 metres high and can allow 4 people to climb at once. With automatic belays, climbers can make their way up the wall on routes of varying difficulty and then are gently lowered back down on a safe and modern belay system. This makes the wall suitable for all ages and abilities. |
