Their live shows take you on a winding journey, from ambient and smooth, to soaring ecstasy, to high energy infectious synth beats, pulsing bass and explosive crescendos. This is amplified by entrancing live visuals that engulf your senses and lull you into a trance.

Fun, funky and ‘foxy’, this local Lakes band are fast earning a reputation for their killer live show. Somewhere between Ska, Jazz, Funk and Indie, this unique band brings a mixture of original songs and exciting twists on party classics that are sure to get you dancing: Crowd participation is a must with the Foxes, their vocal harmonies, virtuoso basslines, smooth sax, explosive piano, and face-melting guitar lines will have you moving, grooving and shouting for more.

Delagrave

Delagrave have gone from strength to strength over the past few years, their music drawing on a diverse range of musical influences including Etta James, Tame Impala, Alt-j, and Pink Floyd. They have played at Kendal Calling 2018 alongside Hacienda Classical, The Libertines and appeared on the BBC Introducing stage at This is Tomorrow Festival in Newcastle alongside Stereophonics and Lewis Capaldi.

Vacant Weekend

Vacant Weekend are an alt-pop trio from Cumbria who have carved out their own niche that can be described as funk inspired, groove focused, cathartic indie rock. The band has appeared at festivals this summer, with returning appearances at Kendal Calling, Bluedot and Solfest, as well as first time appearances at Eskfest and Victorious festival. This is a band to watch, with tight upbeat funk originals, great vocals, drums and arrangements.

Bossyking

Bossyking are a rising nu-disco, electronic duo known for powerful female vocals and electrifying beats. Expect dirty basslines, soaring vocals, intricate guitar synths and glossy beats. Fierce, danceable and enigmatic.

The Northern Threads are a young 4-piece Indie Rock ‘n’ Roll band with a gravel-through-honey style sound. With headline shows in Glasgow, London and everywhere in between, the band’s debut UK tour finished alongside a whole load of festival appearances including headlining a stage at Kendal Calling.

The Magpies have had an incredible year with nearly 200 gigs in this calendar year. Expect to enjoy The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Dylan, Marley, Hendrix and many more.

J Lewis

Lake-district born and bred: The mountains and lakes of the land can be credited as inspiration for the fingerstyle songwriting of this undiscovered solo performer. Poetry combines with beautiful guitar,  a unique flair and more unique vocal to produce a truly moving set of songs and some stand-out covers of famous tunes.

Joel Gardner

With one hand placed firmly in Pop, Rock and Groove and the other in Trad, Roots and Folk, Joel’s music is built on infectious melodies, introspective lyrics and intricate guitar playing. His songwriting style and sound is often compared to the likes of Paul Simon and Frank Turner while drawing on influences from guitar virtuosos such as Andy McKee, John Gomm and John Butler.

Clara Pople

Clara Pople is a soul/trip hop looper blending influences as vast as early trip hop, electronica and folk. Clara uses a vocal looper to create densely layered harmonic backing and draws on her choral and gospel background. Using just her voice, Clara creates dark bass lines, syncopated beatboxing rhythms and 6-part harmonies.

J P Worsfold is a writer of emotional contemplative contemporary folk songs that speak of connection, joy and belonging. With a subtle blend of rich vocal harmony, sweeping string arrangements alongside heartfelt piano and guitar, these are songs that evoke life’s deeper meaning, inspire connection within ourselves and the natural space around us.

Ewan Scarlett

Ewan Scarlett plays country, folk, blues influenced tunes whilst also taking lyrical inspiration from his home in the Lake District. Ewan comes from a grunge & indie lineage, but gained favour with the indie folk scene in the late noughties.

Stoney Broke

Chloe is an ambitious Singer-Songwriter walking the line of controversy, merging metaphors with raw emotion. Her looping station shows off her multi-Instrumentalist talents, elevating her live performances with haunting harmonies and a unique fuller sound that is rarely found in solo acts. Inspiring her writing is Chloe’s deep connection to the natural & spiritual worlds, creating a final product that shares qualities with 1960s Protest Songs, Contemporary Folk Music & Musical Theatre.
